VINTAGE WOODEN CRAB FISHING TONGS

Total length 22". Nice brass rivet for the pivot. I was told that these were used by crab fisherman to pick up Chesapeake Blue crabs specifically "from the back side between the swimmer fins. The crab cannot easily reach the tongs from this direction with its primary claws".
