The first of these I have seen and I can find no photos or examples online. I have found one reference to Jennings manufacturing 'Car Bits' and I assume they were for the railway or the auto industry ca 1900. Clearly these are higher end too because Jennings nickel plated all the hardware on the box. I am selling these exactly as found in superb condition and never messed with. Unfortunately this uber rare set is missing its smallest No 4 bit which likely broke at one time being such a long thin bit. The label is somewhat decipherable and I can make out 'CAR BITS', the 'medallion' and some features of a standard Jennings label (see photos).
