Fabulous saw from ca. 1814-28. Samuel Peace was the Patriarch and the earliest of the Peace family of sawmakers in Sheffield as per Simon Barley's outstanding book on British makers. The saw itself is in remarkable condition for its age with a near perfect tote (one small chip on the lower horn) and no damage to the split nuts. Deep clear stamp. 10" blade with no broken or missing teeth. Top shelf.
**All edge tools may need to be sharpened/honed before use**
