1853 PATENT S. J. SHERMAN CAST IRON POCKET LEVEL

With original paper label behind the glass and clear as day... Reads 'S. J. SHERMAN NEW - YORK PATENTED July 19th, 1853.' Early US patent number 9867 is one of the first 10K patents ever issued in the US. Pictures didn't capture the paper label well.
