OUTSTANDING DECORATIVE EARLY SURGEON'S AMPUTATION SAW

What a beautiful saw. Note the detail on the toe end with the cupid's bow and the creature's face! Superb condition with crown and star touchmarks on the blade. Handle is ebony or dark rosewood. Whale tail at the base of the handle. Spine has a lovely oval profile and detail at the point where it meets the handle. Cutting edge is 11". Handle screws and nuts appear to be early replacements and there is a 1/2" x 1/8" sliver off the top of the tote. Exceptional.
