RARE AND FINE TYPE 5 STANLEY NO. 4 1/2 SMOOTH PLANE

Beautiful rosewood tote and beaded knob. Very clean. All original. Excellent overall condition. Lightly oiled but uncleaned as found. The 4 1/2 planes only commenced production in 1884 at the very end of the pre lateral era. This would be amongst the earliest 4 1/2s ever made.
