Canadian Type II shield style badge number O-487. Manufactured by "LACKIE MFG CO. TORONTO" as stamped on the back. Pin intact. Uncleaned as found. Will glow with a cleaning.
Found in a fellow's garage in Oakville, ON whose father used to work at Ford and on old cars more generally. As I understand it, the letter in front of the pin number on top refers to a certain division within Ford (e.g. FD for Fire Department) and I believe Canadian plants were simply referred to by their location. There was a plant in Oakville as well and is likely what the "O" in the badge number stands for. Cool collectible for the FoMoCo fans out there.
