FABULOUS SET OF 4 A. CUMINGS BOSTON SPAR PLANES - 1 ~ 2"

Very likely used in the shipbuilding trade. First set of spar planes I have seen. All stamped "A. CUMINGS BOSTON" on the toe and their respective widths on the heel (1, 1 1/4, 1 3/4 and 2). All irons marked "WILLIAM ASH & CO. WARRANTED CAST STEEL" with a fleur de lis logo with their accompanying chip breakers stamped "Wm ASH & CO. CAST STEEL" on them as well. Elongated coffin profile. Superb.
