SUPERB EARLY W & S JONES (1792-1850) MAHOGANY & BRASS TRAMMEL POINT SET

Truly stunning set of trammel points. William & Samuel Jones were brothers and partners manufacturing scientific instruments starting in 1792. The 30 Lower Holborn Ave address was used from about 1800 on. Overall in exceptional condition. 100% clear, clean original paper label inside the box. 4 proper tips - one is original to the case and the other 3 were properly and faithfully reproduced by a machinist friend. Box latches intact but hooks are both missing. Top shelf.
