9 1/4" long including extensions. Stamped 'TOLLNER 209 BOWERY NY' on the lever cap under the large locking screw. Charles Tollner was an early NYC toolmaker working between 1851-61. The throat is adjusted by simply removing the screw holding the front infill and loosening the two adjusting screws located beneath it. Good overall condition with some random fine pitting in spots. The bun on the iron has been replaced. Very difficult plane to find.
