UNUSUAL & FINE TYPE 6 STANLEY NO. 6 FORE PLANE

I am saying unusual because this is the first Stanley bench plane I can ever remember observing with two 'S' casting marks behind the frog (see last photo). It also features the patent dates inside the brass adjusting nut, minimal spacing between NO and '6' on the toe, the 1867 L Bailey patent designation on the cap iron, the 1892 patent iron, the broad rear handle and the 'nib' on the underside of the lever cap. I believe this is an unusual variation, 100% original type 6 plane. Very fine condition, uncleaned as found. And will make a great user!
