Stamped 'J. R. TOLMAN HANOVER MASS.' Tolman was very well known both for the quality of his planes and the innovative designs he created. He worked in coastal Massachusetts and created many beautiful planes for the boat builders of the area. This is a rare variation special purpose plow that he offered, also called a Hawk plane. A real beauty and in superb condition.
