FINE HUGHES & HUDSON HEAVY BRASS BACK SAW - 11 TPI - CA 1880

Heavy brass back with a 14" cutting edge. HUGHES & HUDSON LEITH stamped on the back. NOT listed in Simon Barley's incredible work on British sawmakers although an Edwin Hughes from Leith is listed ca 1880 as a sawmaker. Good etch is visible and should pop with a cleaning. Will be a great miter or tenon saw or for use with large dovetails. Will make an excellent user.
