EXTRA FINE RARE VARIATION WINTERBOTTOM 1869 PATENT MITER SQUARE

Rare variation with the extra brass strip back side. Exceptional condition with a deep crisp stamp and hints of the original bluing on the blade and screws. Crisp clean brass and a slightly rounded profile bottom of the handle. Gorgeous undamaged rosewood. Uncleaned as found. First of this variation I have seen. Top shelf. Note a spot of pitting near the top of the blade on the back side.
