This pattern of tool box was used by the British Army and RAF for carrying tools etc. It features a metal box section which is painted black, a leather front which opens with a metal catch and a leather handle to the top. To the front is marked with both the 1942 date and the War Department broad arrow. Also has the original military inspector's broad arrow stamp and initials inside.
The toolbox is in very nice condition. The leather is excellent and the tin shows some paint loss.
It measures 10 1/2 long, by 3 1/2 wide, by 4 1/2 tall
