EARLY CHAPIN STEPHENS NO. 36 1/2 CALIPER RULE

Excellent example of a user made repair gone right! The caliper slide was soldered together and pinned in place to repair a break, but managed to retain the gradations on the inner slide. I thought it was an odd variant with a slider attached, but in fact it was just an excellent repair. Kudos to great craftsmanship!
