EARLY W. LONGDEN HORN FLEAM SURGICAL INSTRUMENT

These were used for blood letting in the 18th and 19th century. A similar Longden fleam is known dated 1815, suggesting he was a very early manufacturer. This one has aged very well as there are no cracks in the horned case. Uncleaned as found. It has a solid brass spine.
