LOVELY & FINE EBONY & BRONZE CHARIOT PLANE - D. LYON LONDON - HOLTZAPFFEL?

Beautiful small plane in the Hotlzapffel style. Micro thin mouth. Gorgeous ebony wedge with a crisp cupid's bow leading edge. The stamp is almost identical to the D. Lyon London stamp (1873-1877) shown in BPM 3. Identical to Holtzapffel's so possibly their manufacture with Lyon being a dealer? A gorgeous little plane just 3 1/4" x 1 1/2" on the sole.
