FINE EARLY SAMLLER ATKINS & CO DAMASKEEN 11 POINT CROSSCUT SAW

Stamped 'PATENTED JULY 7 1896' and 'DAMASKEENED' with the latter sandwiched between the words 'TRADE' & 'MARK.' Fabulous early saw with a beautiful thistle-like handle pattern. The large brass button has the Atkins logo and marked 'PAT DEC 27 1887'. The saw only measures a total of 21" in length and appears to be little used. Stamped '11' on the blade. The etching and logo are very nice overall. Most original finish is still intact on the handle and the tips are perfect. 100% uncleaned as found.
