E. C. EMMERICH NO. 245 'DOPPELHOBEL' SMOOTH PLANE - 1950s EXPORT MODEL

Long, long discontinued. Interesting English-style smooth plane made by Germany's ECE (known for their horn planes). Smaller version measuring 7 1/2" long with a 2" (52mm) 'double iron' cutter. Red beech construction. 

Advertised in the 1952 ECE catalog as one of their models made for international market. Fine overall condition noting the steel button on the heel appears to have been cut off.
