EXCELLENT EARLY FRENCH TRADE AXE - CIRCA 1630-40s

Head length is 6 1/2" long with a 3" cutting edge. Clear maker's stamp is a circle with 7 divisions or "pies" that's stamped twice on each side which matches up to other axes from the 1640 +/- time frame. Very fine overall condition for its age. Excellent very likely replaced handle.
