EARLY CONNECTICUT STYLE ROSEWOOD AND BRASS SLIDING BEVEL SQUARE

Measures 9 1/2" when closed. I see no maker's mark but very stylistically similar to the 1850-70s Connecticut makers such as James Tidgewell and Standard Rule Co. with the flattened curve at the top of the arm, the round thumbscrew, and the double rivets on the brass ends.
