Superb condition for its age. Nice and straight, has set, and is quite sharp. Likely little used as it has lots of depth and is in such great condition. Handle is near perfect with a sliver off one side of the bottom horn. A beauty.
According to Simon Barley's outstanding book on British sawmakers, page 545, this is one of S & J's earliest stamps dating to about 1850.
