Measures 10" in length with a 5" cutting edge. Clearly stamped 'MAW LONDON' along with a military broad arrow. Brass ferrule and spine with boxwood or maple handle. Fine overall condition.
Maw was a manufacturer of a variety of surgical instruments and medical supplies throughout the 1800s. George Maw started the company in 1807 with his sons continuing the business until its cessation in 1900.
