EARLY J TAYLOR SPLIT NUT TENON SAW - CA 1840

Steel back is stamped "J TAYLOR & SON SHEFFIELD ADVANCE". 12" cutting edge. This exact logo is CA 1840 as per Simon Barley's outstanding book on British sawmakers and also has the 'ADVANCE' logo. Fine very small nuts.
