The best timber frame beam borer ever made with the sturdy four point steel frame construction. This one is in good working condition and has the often missing depth stop. Original gold paint on the lettering mostly intact. A few minor condition notes for transparency: A wood 'plate' was added to the base and the center portion of the original base is mia (easily replaced if so desired). One of the upper 'bearing' lockdown screws was replaced with a bolt. It appears that the lower gear locking nut has been brazed to hold it in place. 5 teeth on the lower horizontal gear are very slightly chipped (doesn't affect use). Otherwise these are fabulous working machines and the price on this reflects these minor issues. They generally sell in $1200-1600 range.
