This has all the characteristics of a very early 18th C plane - likely ca 1710-20. At one time I believe I saw a reference to Woodruff but cannot seem to find it now.
Measures 9 7/8" in length with wide flat chamfers, and deep drop 'shoulders'. Further the dropped shoulder has been cut with two different sized round planes and there is a very subtle second 'cut' smaller and at the top of the larger cut, a feature I have never seen before (3rd photo). Wonderful wedge profile with a slight relief on the backside. Excellent overall condition with a few holes on the bottom edge where there must have been a slight extension on the 'fence' and a few other typical minor nicks and dings. Superb condition for its age.
