UNUSUAL 18TH CENTURY COMPLEX MOLDING PLANE

Wonderful, early plane likely dating around 1740-1750. Measures 9 11/16" long and has an extremely unusual, early wedge profile. Also, as can be seen in the photos, it has the India ink '22' on both the body and the wedge. The only stamp is the initials 'TM' on the head and toe. Thumbnail profile. I've seen thousands of wooden planes and this to me stands out as a lovely, early molding plane.
