Fresh to the antique tool market. 6 of the 7 planes are stamped 'DRYBURGH' including the plane on the left that has the allowance for interchangeable soles. This is only the second set of these I know of to exist, and the other, which I also found 'in the wild', resides in a principle collection here in Canada. In excellent 'untouched' condition it includes two extra Dryburgh soles and 4 extra blades. The unmarked plane furthest right was found with the set. Dryburgh was a plane maker out of Bright, Ontario. The planes are also stamped H S L. Mr. H S Longworth was a patternmaker in the 1920-40s who literally lived 6 blocks from my house. He would have inherited or purchased these from the previous, perhaps retiring, patternmaker, A Glenesk.
