EARLY & UNUSUAL ELIJAH BRIGGS FOXBORO MASS SLITTING GAUGE - CA 1870

Second Brigg's I have seen with this shape of a head and but first with the brass plate. Has the Briggs eagle stamp and J CROWE put his name in a few spots. Not sure of the species. Mahogany? As found.
