GORGEOUS HORN (?) MARKING KNIFE

Beautiful knife in excellent condition. Found with the I P Hyde knife also listed. I do not know whether the handle is horn or ebony or something else. The metal appears to be German Silver or a very fine pewter. Again, I am not sure but it does not stick to a magnet. There is an 'H' stamped in the metal. Clearly this was a high quality knife. Blade was replaced at some point. Some casting flaws as seen.
