Great hammer but more exceptional are the markings. Clearly and coolly stamped ELIJAH T AULENBACK FARMVILLE N.S. (Nova Scotia). Also stamped 1 ?/? LBS  NO 0. Likely 1 3/4 pound marking. Top shelf.

"When Elijah Timothy Aulenback was born on 18 February 1886, his father, Mathew Owen Aulenback, was 44 and his mother, Sophia Nauss, was 39. He married Ione Hall in 1924, in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He lived in Blockhouse, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1891 and Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1911. He died on 3 September 1932, in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, at the age of 46, and was buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg, Lunenburg Co, Nova Scotia, Canada."
