FINE COMPLETE SET OF 13 JENNINGS PATTERN AUGER BITS IOB - BATES BITS

Label reads PATENTED SEPT 28 1880 which refers to the patent on the design of the box itself. Sizes 4 -16. Excellent condition with good tips. All stamped BATES BITS. Identical to Jennings pattern and likely produced after the original patent protection period had expired. Or they were licensed to produce them. All the original brass box hardware was inside and is included so that the box may be restored.
