FINE LAKESIDE NO. 4 1/2 SMOOTH PLANE

Fine 'as found' condition. Blade stamped LAKESIDE in elegant script. Embossed R 4 1/2 behind the frog (which is clearly a Stanley frog). Did Rockford Tool Co buy Stanley frogs or did Stanley manufacture this plane? Great user either way.
