LOVELY BAILEY TOOL CO. 21" JOINTER PLANE no

This plane was manufactured from 1872-1879. Rosewood handle may have a very very fine hairline crack. Original front beaded knob. The adjusting nut has the 'AUG 8 1875' patent date stamped on it. Original lever cap is undamaged. The blade is a very early replacement stamped with 'STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO. 1876' patent date and is slightly narrower than the lever cap. The initials 'JHS' are stamped on the left side. and there is a tiny 3/32" fleabite out of the mouth. Japanning is mostly gone but very nice overall condition.
