VERY RARE ELMER FELL PATENT ARTICULATING PIPE CLAMPS OR VISE

Graphic and rare, I could not even find these referenced in DATAMP. A pair of bronze adjustable and articulating patent vises by Elmer M Fell of Auburn NY. They have a threaded screw which would mount to a board or bench and the curved clamp locks onto a ball at whatever angle necessary. Three original thumbscrews have a partial patent date stamped on them and Fell's name and Auburn NY are also stamped on various parts. A later Fell Patent dated Feb 21 1905 utilized this identical design but I believe this screw-in patent was earlier.
