VERY UNCOMMON ADDITION HEALD CENTER BEAD MOLDING PLANE

This plane incorporates an unpatented screwing device on the wedge that causes the toe to press against the plane iron to secure it. Heald later patented an iron cap based on this design.

Measure 9 1/2" long. 5/8" center bead. Beech construction. Plane is in good shape noting a bit of missing boxing and a check at one shoulder.
