NOS JOH. PETER ARNS 'MATADOR' REPLACEMENT PLANE BLADES - 1 3/4", 2" & 2 3/8"

Regular price $25.00 USD

Johann Peter Arns was based out of Remscheid, Germany starting in 1747. They created the 'Matador' brand in 1918 and later manufactured blades for Ulmia planes (with examples of the Matador x Ulmia stamped irons that can be found online.) They were merged into Two Cherries/Kirschen in the 2000s.

New old stock. All are over 7" long.  Prices are for a single blade either with or without cap iron. Box not included. Sharp and ready to go. Cool alternative for those looking to swap out their older, stubby bench planes irons for a fresh one from a bygone era.

Blades with chip breakers are recommended for those interested in making their own planes. The Matador chip breakers will not fit into vintage Stanley/Record bench planes as they are too long. Limited number of blade & cap iron sets are available.
