FINE EARLY RICHARD NELSON ROUND PLANE - CIRCA 1740s

Nelson worked at least as early as 1750 and 'possibly earlier' as per BPM 3. The length on this plane of 10 5/16" suggest that it is earlier than this as typical 1750s planes were shortened to under 10". Very early 18th c planes were typically in the 10-10 1/4" range. Fine condition and very steep pitch iron.
