EARLY J. W. HARMON BOSTON LEVEL & PLUMB - 24"

According to Don Rosebrook in his excellent book on American level makers this would be a No 7 Harmon. And although this is heavy and suggestive of rosewood, Rosebrook says that all Harmon levels he observed were mahogany. Measures 24" x 3 1/4" x 1 1/4". Level bubbles intact. Stamp reads 'J. W. HARMON 65 HAVERHILL ST. BOSTON MASS'. Lightly cleaned and all original including all the screws.
