EARLY 18TH CENTURY MOLDING PLANE

Early plane likely dating around 1730-1750.  Measures 9 3/4" long and has an unusual, early 'SLEEPER' style wedge profile showing a slight relief on the backside. Appears to be yellow birch and has a steep molded dropped shoulder and flat chamfers. A lovely, early molding plane.
