200 year old miter plane. Original MOTTRAM snecked iron incredibly is almost 9" long. According to several sources including BPM 3rd ed, Mottram worked from 1800-1833 in Sheffield. The Cupid's bow bridge is rivetted into place. Shapely extended front nosing. Lots of patina as found. Approx 3/4" x 3/16" chip out of the mouth but still a fantastic early beauty.
