EXCELLENT KOYAMAICHI SHINOGI OIRE NOMI DOVETAIL CHISEL - 3MM OR 1/8"

Extremely fine 3mm cutting edge with a Japanese white oak handle stamped '3' at the base. Known as 'shinogi' or 'umeki' chisels for dovetail work. From the Koyamaichi or Koyamaiti forge from Miki, Hyogo in Japan. May have only been struck once or twice. The maker of this chisel has also since passed away.
