MAGNIFICENT VERY EARLY 1700s COMPLEX MOLDING PLANE

I bought this about 30 years ago on the east coast of Canada. Has all the characteristics of the earliest documented planemakers. 9 15/16" long. Wide chamfers, molded shoulder, large wedge. Stamped 'I. BEATTIE' on toe. Very likely English. Undocumented maker.
