ROSEWOOD BOTTOM SOKOTORI KANNA / JAPANESE RABBET GROOVE PLANE - 13/16"

~10" (255mm) long with a heavy 13/16" (21mm) cutter. Japanese white oak body with a rosewood bottom in a style reminiscent of some German lignum vitae-bottomed planes. Very lovely piece. 

 This kanna is used in cleaning of grooves while making sliding doors.
